Homeschooled boyfriend?

my boyfriend has been homeschooled his entire life, never once has stepped into a public, or private school. next year he plans on going to public school for his sopre year of highschool. he wants my help so he doesn't seem like a nerd. how do i help him? sports? friends? he's done tae kwon do in his childhood, but we don't have a karate club, or anything like that. and he doesn't know much about sports.. i'm a very active person in sports.. i play volleyball, softball, alot of different things. how do i help him? i already know to help him with grades & things..
