Need some advice about a guy.?

Not too long ago some friends of mine and I went to Cancun for a destination wedding. While there I met a guy who's actually from my hometown and who knows one of my friends. We hit it off! At the reception he stared at me from across our table and would smile when our eyes met, we made each other laugh, and we even slow danced. While we were dancing he just kept gazing into my eyes with this silly smile on his face, it got so intense for me that I had to look away. Also while we were dancing he asked me why I refused to dance with anyone else I couldn't answer his question I changed the subject. When the song we were dancing to ended he hugged me and walked me back to our table. At that point I figured that that was a thanks for the dance hug. Then after the reception when we were all saying our goodbyes he stuck out his hand for me to shake and when I placed my hand in his he pulled me in for a tight hug. I was the only female he hugged. Now back in the States, I had dinner with him the other night where he proceeded to try to take pictures of me. He was very sweet and attentive (for the first half of the night), occasionally brushing up against me, and showing me all the pictures he took in Cancun. Then I'll be damned if he doesn't sit his *** in front of the tv and play with his phone. I know he wasn't texting anyone because he showed me his phone, he was buying apps for his phone! WTF? Every now and then he would look up at me and smile. But when I was ready to leave he didn't even get up to say goodbye, he just reached out his hand for a shake and that was it. This guy is really confusing and I could of sworn he liked me but now I don't know. I spoke to my friend about him and she said that his ex fiance got pregnant by another guy, and that she just had the baby. He's stationed elsewhere so he'll be leaving soon and it breaks my heart that that's how he left it. What happened? Why the 180? He asked me to friend request him on facebook and I did so we're now friends, but for what? Is he actually gonna keep in touch or did he just want to add yet another friend? I'm so confused and a little hurt, does this guy like me or was he just mind f*#@ing me?
