Phone Virtual Memory Low?

Well, I got a Boost Mobile Phone. It Use to keep up to 400 stored messages. Lately it doesn't even keep up with 40 :/ . It tells me that "Virtual Memory is low". So it wont receive Messages . I deleted a whole bunch of pictures and music and it still tells me the same thing, What could it be??
