Good alternative to teflon?

does anyone know a good alternative to teflon for non-stick cookware? i'm looking for a pan to replace my 10" teflon one. it's actually my roommate's and she's leaving soon. i want something non-stick but without the potential of flaking off like teflon does after awhile. i use black irons for pretty much all my cooking but they're not good for eggs and other delicate foods. anyone have experience with the stainless pans or anything else? thanks for your help.
