Insanely irritated skin need help!?

Ok so i live in FL so a moist environment....i started about a week ago having a patch covering a good half of my of red, itchy, flaking, stingy skin...if i dont put lotion or vaseline on every 2 hours it becomes unbearabley itchy. Can u pleeeaaaase tell me what this is and a cure???
