Will beating the hell out of the boyfriend of a girl i like make me seem superior?

First off i hear you i went out with a girl for a while oddly enough i was the rebound guy smh but this guy dumped her over text after 3 years and stopped talking to her all together. My brother works in white plains where she works and lives and i would go and chill with him and a few friends and her and i where not on speaking terms. We went in to Barnes and Noble and turns out he works there i had seen pics of him he not of me. When i saw him i was so pissed i wanted to just knock him out and while he was taller iam definitely stronger and pretty fast for a big guy. So i hear you, i did stare him down though and he backed off. Whats my point? Yeah its immature but when guys care for a girl they want to protect them. I completely understand. However a girl will look at this as your a savage and cannot control yourself so even if she liked you she would not date you just because of that.
